When Robinson Crusoe found a footprint in the sand, he felt sure that his lonely sojourn was about to be brought to an end.
It didn’t matter to him who had made that footprint as long as its owner was friendly. It was just the fact that someone else was there on his island with him.
Often we see people on their own little islands of loneliness, yet we fail to take the small step necessary to make them feel less isolated in a hostile world. A smile, a wave or a kind word can so easily fill an empty moment in a lonely life.
We can make an impression in this way on any day of the week – we don’t have to wait for a Friday!
With many peaceful blessings
