Joanna Baillie, who was known as the Bothwell poetess, once wrote: –
“The brave man is not he who feels no fear but he whose noble soul subdues its fears, and bravely dares the danger nature shrinks from”.
How very true these profound words, written by Joanna, are!
Everyone – you and I, for instance, may be afraid, even desperately afraid.
There is nothing to be ashamed if we are afraid.
Our greatest achievement though is to face our dangers head on, and take the right course of action, whatever the consequences for ourselves!
It may be very challenging for us but we can overcome all our fears, if we place our trust in our Father God.
With many peaceful blessings
