Urgent Appeal for Priscilla

There is a little girl in India – Priscilla – who needs urgent life-saving surgery.

But India, sadly, has no free National Health Service like we do here in the UK.

The cost of Priscilla’s operation will be 63,000 Rupees (around £800) which is a large sum of money for my friends in the church in India who are desperately praying for her.

They are praying for a miracle and I am asking for your kind and generous support in making this miracle become a positive reality.

I will be donating all the profits from the sale of my recently published paperback book – ‘What Is Your Favourite Bible Verse?’ – for Priscilla’s life-saving operation.

All you have to do is to go to:-

The book only costs £9.95 which is a very small price to pay when you know that you will be preserving the life of this little child, Priscilla.

And, in addition, if your heart tells you that you would like to donate more money toward’s Priscilla’s operation then please go to my donation web page:-

All donations that we receive will be sent immediately to the Priscilla Fund Raising Committee in India.

Thank you, in advance, for all your wonderful love and support

God Bless

1 Samuel 1: 2

1 Samuel 1:2

This was Hannah’s prayer “How I rejoice in the Lord! How He has blessed me! Now I have an answer for my enemies. For the Lord has solved my problems”

She approached the Lord and cried out to Him. Hannah received from her Lord her heart’s desire. She was blessed.

Her heart could not contain her joy. Nothing else mattered or compared to her rejoicing in her Lord.

Her joy filled the depths of her soul. Unspeakable joy from an answered prayer. Victory over her enemies.

God had an answer for her situation. God has an answer for you.

Hannah had a sincere and loving heart. Her faithfulness and obedience were rewarded.

Hannah rejoiced and sang because she could give her son to the service of the Lord. She glorified God because He does great and mighty things for His people.

She made her sacrifice and then she sang out in her joy for what He had done.

Do you rejoice today for what He has done for you?

Prayer :

Glory, Glory to the Lord Most High.

Heavenly Father, you delight in granting the desires of my heart.

Thank you for the blessings that you have bestowed upon me.

In all circumstances I will give you praise for you are worthy of all my praise and worship. My Spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour.

Praise him! Praise Him! Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Mighty God, Glory to His name. Rejoice and be glad. All glory, praise and honour.

Be still and know that our Father God will always answer your prayers for thus it is written in Matthew 7 verse 7:-

Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will fins. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.

God Bless

Happiness Week

The comedian, and sometimes singer, Ken Dodd, sang about happiness: –

“Happiness, happiness,
The greatest gift that I possess,
I thank the Lord that I possess,
More than my share of happiness.”

And: –

If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands,
If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
If you are happy and you know it,
And really want to show it,
If you are happy and you know it,
Clap your hands!

You get the idea.

If you are happy everyone around you will be happy. Happiness is contagious!

And when you are happy you will make other people happy and they will then make you happy because you made them happy!

This is happiness week. How many people are you going to make happy today?

With many peaceful blessings

The ‘Parable’ of the Rope

As the congregation of St Machar’s Cathedral, Aberdeen, entered the church, they saw a short coil of new rope hanging just inside the door, and beside it a notice with one word on it – “Remember”.

No wonder there were some puzzled faces in the pews that morning, for what on earth could a length of rope have to do with them – and what did they have to remember?

Then the minister explained. It seems that he’d heard a rope-maker in the city tell how one of the delicate fibres that make up a rope would snap easily at a touch. Yet when hundreds of them are woven into a ope not even the strongest man on earth could break them!

The strength of the rope depended on the fibres – and the more fibres that went into the rope the stronger it would be.

Each member of the church is like a fibre in a rope. Perhaps they are unable to do much on their own, but united in their faith they find strength in each other and the more powerful that faith becomes.

And so that’s why the rope and the reminder are to be left at the door of St Machar’s; a constant challenge to the people who pass in and out of the Cathedral!

I hope you like my Thought for this Sunday

May God’s blessings go with you always

The Power of God’s Word

Lord, help me to know you more. Enable me to understand my relationship with you through Jesus Your Son. Help me, Jesus, to understand all that you have accomplished for me on the cross.

Thank you for suffering and your death that saved me from the consequences of my wrong thoughts and actions.

I am eternally grateful that after you were crucified, you rose from the dead to prove that you are who you are. Your words and promises I hear and see without fail.

As you knock on the door of my heart. Teach me to hear your voice and open that door.

I receive you. I submit my life daily to you.

I declare that you are Lord over every area of my life, both now and forever.

Thank you for helping me to see who you really are.

Thank you for forgiving me all of my sins and for giving me a new beginning in my life.

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for helping me to live the right way; to show you my love for you, Jesus, by living in obedience to your daily commands.

In Jesus Name

Revelation 3: 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into Him and dine with him and he with me.

Acts 4:12 Nor is there is salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

May the Blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, go with you now and for every day in your life
